Terms of Service
Last updated 16 October 2026
The service
eSchoolOS is an online service for running a school: student records, attendance, timetable, homework, exams and report cards, fees, and communication with parents. Features marked “Coming Soon” are not part of the service until we release them.
Accounts and security
- The person who signs up confirms they are authorised to act for the school.
- The school controls who gets access and with which role, and is responsible for actions taken in its account.
- Keep passwords and two-step login codes private, and tell us at once about any unauthorised use.
The school's data
The school owns its data. It is responsible for having a lawful basis to record it, for the parental consent the DPDP Act requires, and for keeping it accurate. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. The school can download a full copy at any time.
Fees collected through eSchoolOS
Parents pay school fees through the school's own payment gateway account, and the money settles directly into the school's bank. We are not a party to those payments, don't hold the money and take no commission. Questions about a fee, a refund of fees, or a failed payment go to the school, and to its payment gateway where needed.
Plans, trial and payment
- New schools get a 14-day free trial with every feature. No card is needed.
- Plans are billed yearly, in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe, plus GST.
- Each plan covers a number of students. Admissions continue up to 10% over the limit; beyond that, new admissions pause until the plan is upgraded.
- If an invoice stays unpaid 15 days after it is due, the account becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted, and full access returns once it is paid.
Refunds and cancellation are covered in our Refunds and Cancellation policy.
Acceptable use
The school will not use eSchoolOS to send unlawful, abusive or unsolicited messages, upload malicious files, try to reach other schools' data, or disrupt the service. We may suspend an account that does, after notice where possible.
Availability and support
We work to keep eSchoolOS available around the clock and to schedule maintenance outside school hours. Support is available Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm IST at support@eschoolos.com.
Liability
eSchoolOS is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the school paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Ending the agreement
The school can stop using eSchoolOS at any time. Either party may end the agreement if the other seriously breaches it and does not put it right within 30 days of notice. After the account closes, the school has 90 days to download its data before we delete it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [City], India have jurisdiction.
